Today we present our next guest in the Series of European Power Exchanges:
The Hungarian Exchange @HUPX! A lot has happened since the last time we have shared our factsheet:
In June the Go-live of the 4M Marcet Coupling was successfully conducted and Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania have now coupled markets.
In addition, trade volumes have increased, from a slight rise in the day-ahead volumes to almost 100% increase in intraday volumes!
And there is more to come in 2022:
📢 The go-live of the Core flow-based project is planned, including the Croatian-Hungarian border in SDAC.
📢 The Slovenian – Hungarian interconnector is becoming operational
📢 The Slovakian and Greek borders will join the SIDC

Our next guest is HUPX the Hungarian Power Exchange.
Since the exchange has joined the Single-Intraday Coupling (SIDC) in November 2019, the volumes have been increasing constantly. The intraday volumes have been rising by more than factor 7 from 2019 to 2020 and still following that path.
